Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids

Mild alpha and beta hydroxy acids (AHA’s / BHA’s) remove excess sebum and lipids, accelerate the epidermal turnover rate and therefore enable skin regeneration, revealing a radiant complexion. Minimizes fine lines, wrinkles and pores and revives dull skin. After prolonged use, there is a noticeable refinement of the skin’s surface structure. AHA’s / BHA’s allow the skin to optimally absorb treatment products. AHA’s / BHA’s have a profound effect on keratinization, diminishing the cellular cohesion between corneocytes at the lowest levels of the stratum corneum. As alpha hydroxy acids, MBR® uses glycolic acid (derived from sugar cane), citric acid (derived from citrus fruit) and lactic acid (derived from milk). Glycolic acid with a small molecular size has the greatest bioavailability and therefore penetrates deeply into the skin. As beta hydroxy acids, MBR® uses salicylic acid (derived from the bark of willow tree) and L-Carnitin. Used in combination with allantoin or amino acids like arginine, it reduces the risk of skin irritations without affecting the efficiency. Acids concentrated below 10% can be used daily by most people except those with very sensitive skin.
