Urea

Moisturises the skin, smoothes and relieves itching. As one of the most important soluble substances of the stratum corneum, urea is of increasing importance in dermatological therapy and cosmetics. Diseases such as atopic dermatitis or clinically dry skin are identified by a lack of urea. Normal skin contains about 1 % urea.
